• The Ocean Cleanup was founded by Boyan Slat in 2018 when he was eighteen, The Ocean Cleanup aims to rid the world's oceans of plastic through innovative technologies and is one of the largest Ocean Cleanup Initiatives in the world. Their ambitious projects include deploying passive floating barriers to capture plastic waste in ocean gyres, and cleaning rivers by trapping plastic before it gets to the ocean. • Ocean Wise is based in Canada, and is committed to ocean conservation through education, research, and direct action. They operate the Vancouver Aquarium and collaborate with businesses to promote sustainable seafood practices, and educate the public. Ocean Wise also provides resources for consumers to make informed choices that not only benefit marine environments, but also the consumer themselves. • Coral Restoration Foundation is and organization dedicated to restoring coral reefs. The Coral Restoration Foundation works tirelessly to rebuild coral populations crucial for marine biodiversity, and restore dead, dying, or bleached reefs to protect not only wildlife, but also our shores. They employ coral nurseries and outplanting techniques to rehabilitate damaged reefs, focusing on areas like the Florida Keys and the Caribbean.
